[edit] Life in Fable
Jack of Blades is the main antagonist of Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters. He is introduced as the prize-giver of the Arena and reveals to the Hero that his mother was one of the people to complete the arena alive. Later, the Hero's sister tells the Hero that it was Jack who imprisoned their mother in Bargate Prison, so Hero takes a Quest to break her out, only for he himself to get imprisoned. After escaping the prison with his mother, Hero battled with one of Jack of Blade's helpers, one who used to be allied with the Heroes Guild, Maze. After Maze is defeated, Hero, with help from Thunder and other heroes, chased Jack in several places around Albion before battling him in the Chamber of Fate. Hero defeats Jack and is given a choice to keep Jack's weapon, the Sword of Aeons and kill his sister, Theresa or throw away the sword into a vortex and his sister will live.

In the original Fable game, the Sword of Aeons is by far the most powerful weapon. In Fable: The Lost Chapters, there are several weapons more powerful. Also if you decide to throw it into the vortex, a side quest will appear in the Hero's Guild where you can get a weapon of good that's just as powerful as the Sword of Aeons.

In TLC, Jack is revealed to not have been killed by the vortex, but to have reappeared in The Northern Wastes, now transformed into a dragon without the mask. To get to him, The Hero of Oakvale must undertake several tasks to get various souls to open up the gate to where Jack is. After his defeat, Hero can choose to throw away Jack's mask or wear it. If you decide to wear it, you're supposed to gain ultimate power.
