To amass a real estate empire of 2.5 million gold you'll need to buy the majority of houses and stores in the game. Being pure and putting the rent down on your property will put the price of your Real Estate up as it will put more value in from town economies. You should complete the Westcliff Development and Blind Date missions before you complete the game as they unlock more property to buy.
